Download and Install Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4 ICS IMM76I OTA Update

Numerous Galaxy Nexus owners are reporting problems with maintaining consistent signals, both for data and voice connectivity, as well as problems with rapid drops in the phone’s battery level. Now, A minor fix for the GSM variant of the Samsung GALAXY Nexus has been sent out to owners of the device. It takes the build of the OS to IMM76I, from the older IMM76D. IMM76I promises some major performance boost, stability enhancements, and fixes to some known bugs and problems relating to Wi-Fi and HSPA connectivity.



To get this official update, you can check on your phones, Settings > About Phone > System Updates. If updates are available for your phone, it will automatically download the package and will prompt you with “Restart & Install” button once downloading is done. If update is not available for your device, then you can  download the firmware and manually flash into your Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Manual Installation Instructions

Step 1: Before start, please make sure that:

Backup all important data to external storage.

Make sure your Galaxy Nexus runs the IMM76D build and was Rooted.

Step 2: Download  IMM76I Update packager into your computer.

Step 2: Enable USB debugging mode by go to  Settings Developer Options > Development > USB debugging.

Step 3: Connect your Galaxy Nexus to your computer via USB.

Step 4: Save the IMM76I Update packager into your device’s root directory.

Step 5: Boot your device into Recovery Mode by holding down the Volume Down and Power buttons.

Step 6: At Recovery Mode, select “Install Zip from SD Card” followed by “Choose Zip from SD Card” and browse through the directory where you have saved the IMM76I package.



Step 7: After select the package, the Rom installation will start process . Restart your Galaxy Nexus once installation complete.
